Tyke goes walkabout-(Slitherabout?)

Someone (I'm not going to name names, but it wasn't me.) forgot to put the brick on top of the snake's cage & she escaped for 2 days. Petey, the great snake hunter found her. Petey was giving intense attention to the base of a large dresser in the bedroom. I slid a yardstick underneath & felt a heavy soft lump, so I annoyed her with gentle yardstick pokes until she came out & we put her back in her terrarium. She spent the next few hours checking every hole in the lid to see if she could escape again.

spring's progress

View this morning. Some of the white in the background at higher elevations is snow. It was very cold last night-down to 31.9 here in the valley.

Spring is climbing the mountains

The view from our front porch. I love to watch the progression of green up the mountains in the spring. In the fall, we can watch the colors come down the mountains, but it's not as dramatic. In the winter, when there's precipitation & the temperatures are close to freezing, we can sometimes see a snow line or even an ice line. I'm fascinated as only a flatlander can be.

The Eagle has landed

Finally, it's done...(Well, all but the handwork on the back.) I decided that I wanted a clean edge, so I took the binding completely to the back. Finished size is 41"x33. It is rectangular, but the picture was taken at an angle & makes it look trapezoidal.
