Tree

I finished this one tonight. 8X10" It has some metallic colors which don't quite come across in the scan.

"Dance of the Ammonite" on Etsy

I decided to put this one on Etsy for $15.00 to see what happens. That works out to about $3.00/hour-not union wages, but would keep me in supplies.  https://www.etsy.com/listing/127341121/dance-of-the-ammonite-8x10-marker-pencil

zentangles redux

Some of these are accented with metallic gelly roll pens, but the metallic effect does not photograph well for me.

Bottom left has a name-"Coming unraveled"

I'm obsessed with these things

New batch of Zentangles. The first 3 have been named-"Storm at sea", "Tonsilectomy" &
"Is it love or just lust?" I had to explain the last one to Charlie because he didn't recognise the sperms. The second 3 includes 1 mini (2.25") & 1 with color added.

More Zentangles

I'm really getting obsessed with Zentangles. Here are some more in chronological order.

I found a great tin to keep my supplies in. The top is like a frame, so I used some green card stock & did a tangle for the top. I accented it with silver metallic ink-what fun!!!

What happens when your roofer doesn't finish the job

Our roofer, Bob Devaul, had promised to come back & install snow shields before the first snow. Luckily nobody was under the edge when the first batch of snow came down in the back of the house. Pepper is inspecting the slipping snow out the front window.  It looks like it is sliding over the gutters & may not knock them down.

How an insulin pump is like a toaster

This week, I got an insulin pump. So far, I love it. I couldn't understand why Charlie wasn't happy about it, so I asked him & he said that he didn't like to think that my diabetes was getting worse. I explained that it was more a case of using a high tech tool to do the same things that I had been doing, but easier & more accurate. I was doing 4 shots/day-long acting insulin in the AM & premeal shots. With the pump, I inject once per 2-3 days, it trickles insulin 24/7 & before I eat or if my glucose goes high, I tell the pump my readings & how many grams of carbs I plan to eat. The pump figures how much more insulin to give me & I'm done.

Now, how is an insulin pump like a toaster? I told Charlie that you can toast bread under the broiler or on a stick over a fire, but it takes a lot of attention & is hard to get just right. If you have a toaster, you just set the dial & the bread comes out the same way every time without constant monitoring. More accurate results with less work.

new camera-a big disappointment

I'm very disappointed with my new trail camera. 10 megapixels should look better than this. I do have it set on the highest resolution. The battery still shows to be charged, but it refused to take pictures after 263 & the last few were very dark. It has a 6v rechargeable battery & I have tried using it for several days. I have to recharge it every day & I have still never made it through the night.
